Our Why
At Global Institute on Sexual Terrorism, our vision is to be the leading consulting firm in the industry. We aim to achieve this by constantly innovating and providing exceptional services that exceed our clients' expectations. In 2019, GIOST recommended to the US government three things to help reduce online sexual violence: 1.) develop a confidential and centralized reporting process for victims that would go from local to federal law enforcement; 2.) create a specialized unit within federal law enforcement to solely investigate and prosecute on/offline sexual violence; and 3.) maintain state and a federal databases to track online sexual abuse to identify violent extremists. This recommendation is now being considered by the Biden-Harris Administration’s Task Force on Image-Based Sexual Abuse impending legislation on online sexual violence. GIOST provides several training options for professionals and organizations. Elevating the conversation on sexual violence
GIOST is the first think tank, research, and training institute on the subject matter of sexual terrorism, which is extreme sexual violence that can occur both on/offline. GIOST has four years of experience and field research and have trained/consulted agencies in the USA and Southeast Asia.
